Insurance companies expect that the conditions of these four systems work efficiently, as specified by the specifications of the manufacturer. The criteria used to evaluate the four points are as follows:
The current operating conditions (i.e. plumbing, electrical)
Scheduled maintenance requirements (i.e. HVAC system)
Expected service life or life expectancy (i.e. roofing)
Windstorm Mitigation Inspections
At Safe-Haven Home Inspections we are certified by INTERNACHI to offer Wind Mitigation Inspection services. This inspection verifies that the construction methods of your home are up to certain criteria. A wind mitigation inspection can result in reduced homeowners insurance premium costs. As stated in Florida Statute 626.0629, insurance companies are required to offer Florida homeowners “discounts, credits, or other rate differentials…” for construction techniques that reduce damage and loss in windstorms.
